To Washington, back to Chicago, to Springfield, back to Washington. Roland Burris's travel schedule looks like a professional athlete's itinerary. This is worse than having a bad breakup with a girlfriend, and then getting a call, "Hey baby, I wanna get back with you." Roland's rebound reminds me of a not-so-recent Spinners top 40 hit: "Rubberband Man."
Although slightly dejected from yesterday's decision, Burris quickly and professionally stated that his lawyers would go to work and that he would not make a spectacle of the deflection. But Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, and the Senate have taken great consideration of Dianne Feinstein's plea for Roland legally being in the Senate. Roland, hang in there...the drama isn't over yet.

Well, you know rapper T.I. had a song of the same title. But his rubberbands had a different use, considering the line of work he was in at the time.
Yes, Mr. Burris is showing us how far confidence can take you- even when circumstances make things seem dreary. The best to him, as he serves our great state!

Garrard, the elasticity of Mr. Burris truly does reflect the characteristics of the rubberband man.
I'm certain his head is spinning as a result of that reflection.
But one thing we must all realize, his flexibility reflects his sincere interest in serving the 13 million people in the state he truly loves.

Good for him! He seems like a deserving guy.
Although when it comes time for his run for re-election he'd better performed like a superstar athlete in order to get beyond the Blago Cloud.

I am watching The Gerrard McClendon show and so I tried to call in. You are really blowing up! I can't even get through the phone lines to make a comment. But, I want to say that Roland Burris is qualified to be senator. Blagojevich has not been unseated, and still has his powers as governor. Whether people like it or not, his appointment is probably legal. And, should be certified. Jessie White is wrong . Especially now, when we find out that his signature is only "ceremonial". So, how should people take that? How should black people take that? They weren't able to remove Blagojevich. Concensus is, Roland Burris is the only untainted, qualified person who could, in my opinion, replace Barrack Obama. And, today, particularly I saw what seemed to be a forthright, humble man. This is the change we need. Show the Senator to his seat!
