I'm sure the speech will be platformed on mudslinging. I am finding that this is what mainstream Republicans are good at. Without "Enquirer-worthy" (substanceless) shots and propaganda what else do Republicans have?

What we should expect is watching McCain take the most minute item and make it seem as the greatest thing to enter Earth's atmosphere. This is somewhat like the huge deal that's being made about Palin governing Alaska. Really, what goes on in Alaska? There are more people & more to iron out in one borough in the city of Chicago. Does that mean we should take an alderman and make them President?

We'll see phony patronizing hand pattering during his, I'm sure, long speech along w/ the guy that we've been hearing all week in the audience that sounds like "Ed McMahon" or "Harry Caray" yelling "Ha, Ha!".

Amid the mindless robotic roar of the Republicans you're still left with a boring candidate who claims he doesn't understand the economy that he's going to fix while hoping to ride the rocket (whose fuel gauge is reading LOW ON FUEL) of the boast of being a P.O.W. into the White House!

I was only able to see a small portion of the speech on my phone, but i just have a few comments.

I have a lot of respect for any individual who has fought and who is fighting for my freedom, but how far should the heroism go if you put yourself it the situation to be captured. Does anyone remember, that he decided to leave without orders and was shot down and captured. Does anyone remember, that he broke behind enemy lines, and others never spoke a word.

I believe that he is relying on this crutch to much. How can you call yourself a true hero when you broke under pressure. This was at a young age, what makes you think it won't happen now.

I think Mr. Obama is the correct choice for our nation at this moment. He has shown that he can encourage individuals who never paid any attention to any political race. I just hope the history our nation, repeats itself when a qualified candidate doesn't win the race.

Hello Garrard, I tunned in to this show last night. I want to express that this show touched bases on alot of issues that really needs to continue to be pushed in the forefront. I am a mother of three & an aspiring entrepreneur, whom am struggling to promote my website Deal Deputy.net. I have worked 14yrs and have decide that the teaching of yester year, "Get a Good Education so you can get a Good paying Job", just don't work any more. So I tried to pursue a dream that I feel is failing fast. Resources and opportunities that exisited 10yrs ago are gone. My goal is to support my family and to teach my children to be ambitious & make their dreams a reality. So clearly my concern is based arround change, I feel our Goverment has failed its responsbility to us "Americans", to provide a means of solution. Our jobs are bieng sold over seas, our uneployment is so high that benifits were extended by the state of Illinois. CPS funding is $10,000 per student academic funding in wealthier communities are $17,000-20,000 our kids our sharing texts books, sitting in class without air conditioning, inflations in gas prices, Illinios tax is the highest in the united states, over 30 cases of school age kids have been killed. What is this?? We're at war with a country that didn't attack us?? these are the concerns that we face and need to be addressed not, tax breaks for the wealthy or continuing a war that for 8yrs has brought us on the brink of destruction and we the tax payers continues to pay for. I don't want to vote for a man who is so out of touch with reality that he can't tell you how many houses he have when home foreclosures are through the roof, or someone that employs a person on his staff that makes a remark that the US is a country of winers, and we are only suffering a mental recession, or takes a desperate gamble to gain women voters by picking a woman as his running mate. I think Gov. Palin of whom only has 1yr experience to take on the responsibility of casting judgments that will make or break our future was a terrible choice. Clearly every thing Mcain said against Senator Barack Obama, not having the experience to lead was just a fence. So no I don't think that Mcain can Deliver, I felt no honesty in his speech, he didn't make any mention of bettering the middle & lower class people, all I heard was talk of him liking to fight and endorsing the war to continue and drilling. My vote is with Barack Obama, I hear truth in his voice it touches my heart and restores belief in me that america will be restored, providing structure and a future for our children. I feel our next president should be one that focuses on the citizens & fixing home first not deploying all of our troops to their deaths for a lost cause or if they do return they become homeless laying on our streets with no income or health care when they without question risked their lives and placed their families on hold to defend our country.

Any service within our country's Armed Forces should be commended, but it doesn't give you an automatic "in" when it comes to the Presidential position.
