I am a Bears Fan. At times, it is an embarrassing existence, but I wear the badge regardless. I love the Bears almost as much as my wife. Tailgaters love the Bears too, and they should be allowed to hang out in the parking lot, with brats and beers. Fan-atics have rights too.
Ticket holders should have first priority on tailgating, but the practice of hanging out in the lot during the game shouldn't be prohibited. It should be encouraged...It's just one day a week. We spoke with the Chicago Bears and they told us it's the park department's mandate; then parks told us it's the NFL's mandate. Micromanaging the fan experience; that's an oxymoron.
Bear down Bear fans and cook out to your hearts content. An empty parking lot at a Bears game is sacrilegious.

Ahh, the sports version of the velvet rope ... boringly preserving the live Bears experience for just the "haves."
By enforcing it, the Powers that Be kill a little bit of that renegade spirit that is the must-have hallmark of a sports game!
Lose the fringe, lose the aura.
Lose the warmth of the parking lot that filters into the stadium.
But let me be reasonable. We all know that the "riff raff" who can't afford or choose not to afford tickets bring too many evil problems... and well, we all know money confers morality and good behavior.

I will offically sell my season tickets. I have rules at home, at work and now my fall entertainment. The Chicago Bears, park ditrict and NFL should be ashamed of themselves.

If there is a concern about drunk fans then they need to stop selling liquor in the stadium.

I believe that tail gaiting is still ok. They are saying that once the game starts, they will not allow it.
