Dr. Ronald Herberman says that we should limit cell phone use due to cancer risk. The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute says that children should only use cell phones for emergencies and that adults should use a headset or speakerphone.
WIll you stop using your cell if there is a cancer risk?

I would still continue to use my cell phone. However, I might spend a bit more money and invest in a good working earpiece. :)

Interesting...I would invest in a good earpiece as well. But giving up portable communication would be difficult. Thanks for commenting.

I've been hearing this FOR YEARS Garrard! I first heard that cell phones have the potential to cause cancer back in the mid-to-late 90s, if not earlier.
If they come out with definite proof ... then I will take all precautions necessary!!!

I have to say that I have some concern by what has been proposed and I try to use a bluetooth as much as possible. But does that help when the phone is transmitting from my hip? So if these ideas produce fruit then do we start wearing a lead shield between us and the phone on our belt holster?
I'm not throwing away my phone but I do have concerns.
Hmmm, lead shield...maybe I should market this.

Cell phones have become second nature. It would be very difficult to break this habit. With some professions it is a neccesity to carry and use the cell phone when in the field. Where does this put our choices? Text me!!!!

Cell phone have become such a big part of our everyday life,it would be difficult to get rid of it. But if using a Bluetooth will provide some protection then I would use it,(even though I hate that thing hanging out of my ear)and keep conversations short.
