The right to remain beaten...

abbate-bartender.jpg

Michael Tercha (Tribune) and AP Photo

Who needs women's suffrage when you can still beat up a female bartender, and get away with it. Probation for Anthony Abbate. Just a few scars and a permanent distrust of police officers for Karolina Obrycka: you have the right to remain beaten. See story

This is basically a lynching in YouTube daylight as a Chicago cop receives a slap on the wrist for being a naughty boy. "Hey, he was intoxicated; his punches couldn't have done much damage. She should have given him another drink, to avoid her beating."

Carson sidekick, Ed McMahon dies

mcmahon.jpg.jpeg
Who couldn't remember the infectious smile and laughter of Ed McMahon as he gave loyal and endless support to Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show?  Illness and financial complications troubled the announcer in his latter years, but we appreciate him as one of the hallmarks of American television. We'll only be able to witness, "Here's Johnny" in recordings now, but Ed, you will always be with us. Thanks for making our TV viewing an exciting experience.

I told you Burris was clean

A young Roland Burris and family.

I have been in Senator Roland Burris's corner since Garrard McClendon Live started last July. Sure, his answers and conversations with the Blagojevich Team were questionable, but he wasn't found to perjure himself. Thank God, no steroids.
