So, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has some beef with our Commander in Chief. Apparently the advocacy group is upset over President Obama's enormously skillful ability to kill flies. Check out this video.
As you can see, during a television interview, the President did what millions of people around the world do on a daily basis -- he swatted a fly that was bothering him.
And now PETA has taken up the cause of saving flies.
The group released a statement saying even the smallest and least sympathetic animals need compassion. The group has also sent Obama a device that traps a fly so it can then be released outside.
To quote one of my fellow producers, "really, really?"
Come on PETA.
We both know you have much better things to do, like throwing a bucket of red paint all over some celebrity in a fur coat.
Why waste this time being miffed at the President, because I am about 99 percent sure no one from PETA is going to attempt to throw paint at Obama.
I want to know what you guys think, should pesky insects like flies, ants, and spiders be spared from the bottom of our shoe soles and thrashing hands? Leave your thoughts below.
