Will Federal Stimulus Money Work For You?

Today Mayor Daley announced $12 million in federal stimulus money is making its way to Chicago's O'Hare Airport. It will be used to repair one of the airport's busiest runways and widen a taxiway. The money will make the runways safer, while apparently creating 75 new construction jobs. What do you think about the federal funds? Will it ever truly reach the common person? Do you believe in the trickle up effect? All these projects help the construction industry, one of the hardest hit sectors out there. Any new jobs are great jobs, but what about everybody else? When are we going to hear the stimulus money created new jobs in other sectors? Love pumping money into the economy, but are you actually seeing the benefits and can you afford to wait?
