This is turning out to be a trying year for Yolan Henry. A few months ago her daughter and infant granddaughter were murdered. Then yesterday, she begrudgingly relinquished custody of her beloved grandson to his father, former Bulls player and Thornwood High school standout, Eddy Curry.
Three-year-old Noah Henry has lived with his maternal grandmother since the January slayings of his mother and sister. But yesterday, a judge decided the little boy would be better off living with his father.
The boy’s grandmother says Curry has not been present as a parent and has only seen his son a few times. She plans on appealing the custody ruling, and says she is only trying to do what is best for her grandson.
It’s important for fathers to be instrumental in the lives of their sons, and the judge must have felt that little Noah would do best with his father.
What do you think?"
