You've gotta hand it to him, he's got hutzpah! (Though, not more than the guy who appointed him to the U-S Senate.) Roland Burris continues to chant that he IS the Junior Senator from Illinois. Almost like an affirmation that, if repeated enough, will eventually come true.
Is that's what's going on here - wishful thinking? Or is Mr. Burris, a former Illinois Attorney General, very much on 'legal' point?
(Afterall, the Governor of Illinois, despite his corruption scandal, is still legally the Governor; with Senate appointments falling within his domain.
But then again, there's also politics at play here.)
So, WHAT DO YOU THINK? Will Burris Ultimately Be Sworn in?

With respect to Mr. Burris, he and the special interest group he represents has given over 600,000 to the Governor over the past 3 years. With that said, I believe that the Governor will be looking to Mr. Burris as a get out of jail ticket in the next few years.
Mr. Burris will be seated because he is Black! If this was a White person there would not be any coverage accept that there should be a Black person.
We should be putting people into the Senate based only on qualification only!

Yes, I think ultimately he will sworn in or given some other position. Jessie White's refusal to sign the appointment and the other attempts to block this appoiintment are to buy time. If the Govenor is so guilty why don't they just impeach him immediately? Nothing that he signs should have any validity! Stop wasting the tax payers MONEY!!!!!
