Governor Rod Blagojevich has a top attorney defending him in Eddie Genson.
Genson is lion of the Chicago bar known for using his legal prowess for the benefit of mobsters and corrupt pols among others.
But the legal magic honed over the last four decades had little effect at the Springfield hearing of lawmakers investigating whether to impeach the embattled governor.
At every turn Genson decried the proceedings as illegal and all but a kangaroo court.
And lawmakers threw it right back at him. One state rep. young enough to be his daughter told him to retake a law school class.
Genson had a rude awakening.
