"One man was killed and another was critically injured this evening when someone opened fire on their vehicle on the Far South Side, police said.
The men's vehicle crashed after the shooting near 130th Street and Torrence Avenue and burst into flames, officials said.
Chicago police said they responded to a traffic crash about 5:15 p.m. and found at least one of the victims had suffered gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, the Fire Department said.
