Police Supt. Jody Weis confirmed on Monday afternoon that the body found on Chicago's West Side is that of 7-year-old Julian King, the missing nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson. This is just days after the mother and brother of the actress/singer were found shot to death in their South Side home.
Below is video coverage of the events from CLTV, WGN and the AP. Stay tuned to CLTV and The Breaking News Center for developments on the story.

No offense, but I don't think that everyone should be directing everything they say to Jennifer. I would choose more of a broad approach and say the Hudson family. It is not only Jennifer suffering and grieving from this situation. Think about the sisters and/or brothers of the mother. Think about Julia who lost her son. What about the other relatives? They do matter and I just don't think it is fair to use Jennifer's celebrity status to address everything to her name and not the family name. Yes she is a celebrity, but just like you and I she is a person and has other family members going through the same thing she is. MAY GOD BE WITH THE HUDSON FAMILY!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!

To Jennifer and family, I just want to let you know that even though I don't know you and family personally I am very devastated by the tragedy that you and your family have endured, I pray for you and the family that GOD will give you all the strengh to get through this. I am so sorry for what has happen to your family and I am praying that whoever this cold hearted person is, he/she will be caught. Keep your hands in God hand and keep the faith and He will bring you and your family through.
God Bless you all

My prayers go out to Jennifer and her family, I never thought I would have to say this but I feel her pain, I too have lost a sibling in a senseless crime and in less then 2 years my nephew of only six years was also killed, growing up I just always thought we should grow old and then that's when we go, its sad that everyday you turn on the television someone else has lost their life in a senseless crime, this has got to stop, when will we learn to value life. We have got to PRAY.

My prayers go out to this family. I am beginning to think it is in my best interest to not watch the news for a while. Stories of sadistic murders and violence are becoming too commonplace. I hate to feel like I am beginning to become desenitized to the tragedies being reported daily. I've learned that now three people are dead and I want to cry so bad. What is holding me back? Is it knowing that even as I type somebody else's family is being visited by the familiar stranger we call death. I'll hear that somebody else's life was senselessly taken and I'll feel as powerless as I do right now. Death doesn't care whether you live in Naperville or Englewood. What does matter is most of us don't care about ANYTHING until SOMETHING happpens to us! I'll never understand, when did hearing gunshots instead of the laughter of a child become normal?
