Ok, so I know it’s not as smooth as “Rumble in the Jungle” but not much rhymes with Mississippi… and the only other option was “Showdown in Mississippi.”
Well, America – tonight is the night. The first Presidential Debate of the 2008 Elections and the number one question on the minds of most Americans … surprisingly is not “what about the economy?” But, will McCain be there. We have less than 40 days until we march to our respective polling locations to select the 44TH President of our great but financially crumbling nation (in case you haven’t heard WAMU just got snagged up by Chase.)
Earlier Thursday, the McCain campaign issued the following statement: "Senator McCain will remain in DC tonight as he continues to take action in brokering a deal that will address the crisis as well as protect the taxpayer. No further travel plans have been made at this point."
Hmm … now I am no political scholar or strategist but this seems like a stupid plan.
As President - one should have the ability to balance more than one crisis at a time… Now there are some people who like what Senator McCain is doing and support his decision – I on the other hand feel as though he is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
We are coming down to crunch time –these debates are the last opportunity for us to see were each candidate stands.
Now I have never been a fan of the Presidential Debates – they have always been long and boring to me. But for the first time to me, what these men have to say really matters.
I guess that’s a part of growing up. I now understand the decisions they will make will affect my life for years.
So I hope John McCain shows up and gives the American people what they really want. An opportunity to hear both candidates give their platforms.
So I guess we just have to wait and see... we will all be subjected to a day of will he or won't he on the 24 hour cable news stations... so, anyone wanna place a bet on whether McCain will show or not?

McCain is a clown...everytime I see him, I am reminded of great comedian/actor Mike Myers. McCain actually looks like Myers doing a skit of McCain to me! I keep waiting for the laugh track to start or for McCain to go "SCH_wiiiing!" when Palin winks at him, or try to pull his mom's hair out: "She's a man, baby! Why won't this wig come off?!?"
Ok, seriously, McCain is pitifully out of touch and the wrong guy to lead the US. Obama is a better pick, and hopefully all the hype will not be for naught.
P.S. McCain really does look like a Mike Myers character!
