Folks, it seems that being a daddy has meant some house cleaning for Clay Aiken. Specifically, when it comes to his closet.
In the latest issue of People magazine, Aiken finally acknowledges he's gay.
From the Associated Press wire:
Aiken gained fame as the runner-up on "American Idol" in 2003. He rarely addressed frequent rumors about his sexuality. In an interview with The Associated Press two years ago, Aiken said: "I don't really feel like I have anybody to answer to but myself and God and the people I love."
I don't know about you, but this isn't a surprise. Did Clay Aiken really need to come out?
He told People that he did not want to raise his infant son to lie or to hide things.
His friend and record producer Jaymes Foster (yes, a woman) recently gave birth to his son.
Not hiding and not lying about your life is something I applaud. More times than not, it'll get you into trouble when you least expect it. There are dozens of examples out there, no need to get into it here.
So, Clay, congratulations. Will you become BFFs with Lance Bass now?

people just need to mind their own business, that's all! I'm a lesbian and I don't want to hurt anyone, but that's who I am. That's what I like,I'm happy with it too. I have to do what makes me happy. So Clay do what makes you happy. It's also good that you were honest with yourself. and know that's it's o.kay to be who you are.
