This morning I watched the residents of Griffith, Indiana walk around with wonder- it was the kind of awe you typically see on the faces of the focused in art museums.
They weren't in despair, they weren't upset- they were simply in shock by the damage five-minutes' worth of a violent storm did on their town.
Video of the damage after the jump.
The high winds ripped off roofs, outed power and downed century-old trees.
Homeowners described the destruction as eerie, and were not quite ready to realize the amount of clean-up it's all going to take.
Right now, they just need to take it all in.
Below is unedited video of the damage in Griffith.
What's the aftermath in your neighborhood? How did Monday night's storms impact you and your family?
