As Drew Peterson left Will County Courthouse on Wednesday, he was greeted by the media and some "fans".
First, take a look at the exchange:
Okay, I've seen and heard it all.
"I love the Sisters," he said. Peterson was referring to the African American women who called out to him.
"I love you too, honey," yelled out one of them.
Really? REALLY.
This situation, folks, is beyond ridiculous. Drew Peterson first became a household name because of the disappearance of his MUCH younger wife, Stacy, in October last year.
He continued to be a household name because he won't let go (and apparently neither will the media outlets who continue to cover him).
Somewhere along the way this sad story of a missing woman--a missing mother--became twisted into "What will Drew say next that's more crazy than the last thing that he said?"
I won't deny that his draw on America's attention boggles me. I guess we've always been a society that likes to watch the misfortune of others. How else do you explain 20 seasons of America's Funniest Home Videos?
Drew Peterson has become his own worst enemy... and people are eating it up. At least the Sisters are at the Will County Courthouse.
He loves them. At least one loves him back.
