R Kelly Trial: Reveal Girl's Identity?

It's now been said in open court and it's mentioned 14 times in R Kelly's 14-count indictment.
I'm talking about the name of the girl allegedly involved in the now infamous sex tape- the name of the girl who says it's not her.

We in the media typically don't reveal the names of rape victims, or children involved in cases such as this, for that matter. But the girl who prosecutors say is on the tape has now grown into a young woman, 23 years of age. This young woman says she was never filmed with R Kelly, and it now appears she won't be testifying for either side in this trial.

My question to readers is: should we continue to protect her identity? The woman says she's not a victim, and she denies any involvement in the actions filmed on the 27-minute video.

Defense attorney Sam Adam, Jr. had this to say in court Tuesday regarding the female named in the indictment:

"{Name here} is as sweet, as nice, and as lovely a person as there is," Adam said, going on to describe the South Side resident as petite and often-smiling.

That's all those outside the courtroom know....do you think you should know more?

Why don't they just leave her alone how long has it been it's said how the people will do anything for money every one wants to be part of something if she is saying it's not her have you thought it isn't her yeah her family is saying it is but have you thought they are wanting to be on television and put money in there pocket they wasn't there protecting her when it supposedly had happened where was her family then.

Ok fellow bloggers for the record I am not an expert nor an attorney but the identity of the young girl depicted has become a matter for the jury to decide. The fact is the jury has not decided that issue. If the identity of the young woman is released, that identification can not be taken back in the event the trier of fact decides on a positive identification. Therefore the name is and should forever remain secret.

I think that her name will come out eventually during the trial, maybe even once the verdict is out and some of the jurors sell there stories to the tabeloids. So I don't think publishing it now will harm her in any way, also take into consideration that there are people out there other than her immediate family that know exactly who she is anyway. My vote is to print here name.

i know her name

Why don't you ask her if you can use her name?
