It’s been said a picture is worth a thousands words. If that’s the case, then these two photos of Disney starlet Miley Cyrus are worth at least a million.
Innocent is NOT the word that comes to mind when I look at this picture. This is not how a 15-year old should be portrayed. Save the sex-kitten image for when she’s legal.
Disturbing is the first word that comes to my mind when I look at this picture. It looks more like a sick “older man-under-aged girl” relationship rather than a father and daughter chillin’ out.
The photos have caused quite a stir. Part of the outrage has to do with the squeaky clean image Miley has tried to project. Not to mention, “Hannah Montana” has brought her legions of fans as young as preschool.
Fortunately, Miley has recognized how inappropriate the one is with her and the blanket. She’s apologized, saying she thought it was going to be artistic but now that she’s seen it she’s embarrassed.
Famed yet controversial photographer Annie Leibovitz took both pictures. It’s part of a photo spread in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
This is the second time in as many months that Leibovitz has stirred up controversy for the magazine.
Last month it was the cover with Lebron James and Giselle Bundchen. Some felt the photo played into the stereotype of an angry black man chasing after a glamorous white woman.
In any case, both photo shoots have stirred up a lot of attention for Vanity Fair, which I’m sure is helping to sell a lot of magazines. But is it worth exploiting two celebs that up until now have had pretty clean and scandal free images?
If Miley Cyrus or the people around her aren't careful, she could end up like many child stars, broke and strung out on drugs and/or alcohol. She should heed the recent fobbles of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

The photos in vanity fair of Mylie are totally inappropriate and her father should of known better. Shes only 15! . She should not have been portrayed in that manner. We have to protect our youth not exploit them for monetary reasons or fame. Im very disappointed. Shes getting rapped up in the hollywood drama and shame just like the rest of them.
