The Chicago Headline Club chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has named the winners of its annual Peter Lisagor Awards for Exemplary Journalism.
On Friday night at a ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel, CLTV's own Tonya Francisco was awarded a Lisagor for "Deadly Lessons" in the best documentary category. CLTV photojournalists Eric Melcher and A.J. Chodora also worked on the program.
"Deadly Lessons" first aired last June after so many Chicago Public Schools students died during the school year including Blair Holt.
