There is an easy answer.
We must lead our youth toward Jesus.
We must pray over our kids and have them believe that no weapons formed against them will prosper.
Have them to stand on the word of God that he will protect them and no harm will come against them as long as they have the whole armor of God on.
I'm 24 and I will tell you life wasn't easy until I grasp a hold of Jesus Christ my Savior. That strenghen me. because if I didn't have him so one would have killed me or I would have gave up on life and committed sucicde. thanks for reading.

hi mr. wendell brown you are right i said the same thing you said about those gangs and the ledder of these gangs and you right it will take a village to raise child. i belive that these cheifs and govs of these gangs need to get on telvision and tell those gang members they left behind to stop killing and stop with all these guns and gang banging its not good for the community and its killing to many young kids its not setting a good example for the young kids at all this a whole world has became a bad world since these so call gang ledders and cheifs stared this old gang banging shit.

Well, First I believe it has gotten worse and worse since prayer was taken out of the schools!!! Also, as it was addressed before, there are people who have given physical birth (I wont call them actual parents) who do not care to take care of their children, teens, and/or people living in their household. NO ONE CARES ANYMORE! There was a time young people feared their caregivers. Now its total rebelliousness or they are simply free to do what they want because mom's too busy trying to chase my daddy (who by the way broke up with her before I was born) or some other man for him to tell her he loves her. I work in the higher education field and I talk with people young and old about going back to school. Education is turned away more often than not. An example would be that I would talk with a 29yr old mother of 5 kids and with no job totally living off the taxes I pay and she will say, "I do not want to go to college because I just dont want to right now"! Hello??? Do you not care about the well-being of the people you laid down and created? Rather they were mistakes or not, you need to be educated so you can educate your children. But then, many people who were born in the 70s and 80s weren't shown real love either so its a cycle. Some dont know how or just dont want to show their children love. However, your past is still no excuse. Some people who created kids continuously promote their children to FIGHT in school. Ive heard it with my own ears out in the public. The parents should be either taken to jail or cited when a minor is taken in for anything. I wonder if parents will care in that case. If the parent is find about $300 and/or taken to jail because their minor was in the street with a gun, how would that affect their parenting? Its a sad situation that we know nothing about investing, business, insurance, etc but everything to do with the club, products that we cant afford, drinks, weed, welfare, sex, and violence. This is getting out of control. If I could help everyone I would, but I am just a voice! We need JESUS TODAY!

The problem is you complain and want someone to do something and then when the police arrest someone in your community you all cry racism AND abuse then you get a lawyer and sue. stop having kids you cannot support or raise . You need 2 parents to raise kids . Stop getting pregnant by men that cannot support the children. NO ONE IS WATCHING THESE KIDS. Stop trying to take away guns away from law abiding citizens. Watch one of those jail shows these idiots can make a weapon out of a piece of paper or out of practically nothing and you want to outlaw guns ? How about outlawing steak knives or box cutters or razor blades... you are so stupid to think you are going to stop these animals from killing other human beings by taking away guns from law abiding citizens. You all have access to FREE GUN LOCKS so why do your kids still have the guns ? And why do they have guns in your house ? My parents went through our rooms . It is called parenting. Why do you ask everyone to pay for your stuff in your neighborhoods ??? That is the parents Job to keep you busy and take you places and MAKE YOU LISTEN. What happened to the day they gave you detentions and then suspended you and then expelled you if you were a problem ??? Oh YAh you grt lawyers and sue and then complain that you cannot walk down the street in your neighborhood ! GET WITH IT MAN ! year after year and day after day complaining about the same stuff and you still cannot figure it out . Stop blaming others and take some responsibility. Stop asking everyone else to help and help yourself.

Gang banging is breed into these terrorists, just like Hamas. It is not a misquided youth, rather the parents are gang bangers, the grandparents are gang bangers and they are proud that their children are carrying on the gang banger tradition. They are raised to disrespect authority, they are raised to sell drugs, and they are raised to take and not give to the community. Wait until summer when they have huge picnics in celebration for Larry Hoover. It disgusts me to see 7, 8 & 10 year olds partying at 2:00 in the morning. Gang Bangers should be labeled terrorist and treated accordingly.

All I can say is,"whomever is without sin, let him cast the first stone". We have too many people pointing fingers and no one taking accountability for the role that each of us play in this scene known better as "society". I am a 22 year old African-American female, and I see the big picture! Do you? Each of us need to take some responsibilty for our part, whether big or small. When we quit blaming others, and take some responsiblity, only then will we be able to decipher the true problem.

After weeks of seeing CLTV air news about Shootings that took place at Chicago Public Schools it angers me that the families of the victims, and the older Generation of the community are not taking responsibility for what they have started, or help to start, or knew what was taking place in the late 60's, and 70's.This is when gangs where formed the Black Stone Rangers,the Cobra Stone,Vice Lords,Gangster Disciple,and etc but no one wants to address that issue because if you go in their past deep enough you may find that they were once in one of the gangs I just mention if not a gang member then they was affiliated with one and in the words of Malcolm X "The rooster has come home to roost".You can't bring forth these gangs and expect them to evolve into something positive when your not giving better opportunity even more opportunity to the youth of today.How can you ask the youth of today for a solution to a forty year old problem???.What we need to do is go to the prisons and talk to the head of the source Larry Hoover,Jeff Fort,Minister Rico,Willie Lord,Emperor Thee,Don Smokie,Boony Black,and Etc and ask for their help with the youth of today.It's because of these people and the generation in their time who also help them to establish these gangs is why we have the problem today.So if you help build these gangs known as Latin Kings,Black Stone,Mickey Cobras,Four Corner Hustler,Vice Lords,Black Disciple,Gangster Disciple then you are apart of the problem and you need to help destory these monsters.So it is not a cps(Chicago Public School)problem it is a community problem that has leak into cps and we as Black people and as a community need to say "ENOUGH".We don't need stronger gun laws we need better role models,and to live by the saying "It's takes awhole village to raise a child" and not "If you can't do the time don't do the crime".....Thank You
