I was told today by the IRS that the stimulus checks will only be released if your 2007 tax filing is completed and OK.. If there is a problem with your 2007 tax filing then your stimulus check will be held back until the problem is resolved... My stimulus check is being held back because of a problem with my return.. I have been paying taxes for 28 yrs and never had a problem with any tax returns, until this year. I was told that this year the IRS is scutinizing every return and those that have problems, they are holding the tax refund until the problem is resolved, which is fine with me, but why are they holding back my stimulus check...
