Best Winter Moisturizer: Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream
Made from antarcticine (an exctract native to Antarctica) it's no wonder this face cream is the ultimate weapon against frigid winter temps and brutal Chicago winds. Spread a small amount of this non-greasy cream all over your face and neck before bed and you'll be rewarded with 24 hours of hydration when you wake up.

Best Makeup Remover: Dermalogica Precleanse
The cleansing process becomes less of a chore and more of an enjoyable ritual when you're armed with the best products on the market. Melt away makeup and excess sebum with this lightweight and divinely fragrant precleanse oil. Use gentle, circular motions to massage the oil all over your face. Follow with Dermalogica's Special Cleansing gel.

As Chicagoans, we're accustomed to wild temperature swings. Hot and muggy summers call for personalized face fans and the winters, well, they just beckon us to stay home and hibernate under piles of warm blankets whenever possible.

When the mercury drops and I'm forced to brave the cold, I switch up my beauty routine to protect my skin and hair from the biting Chicago chill. Here are some great products that'll help you winterize your beauty routine from head to toe:

New Years Eve parties provide the perfect excuse to show off glittery new party dresses and skyscraper heels. But what's a hot outfit without a glammed-up face? Here are some tips for getting come-hither hair and makeup as you ring in the new year.

Holiday Beauty Wish List

It's been a rough year for most of us, but luckily, an entirely new year awaits us. Whether you've been naughty or nice, go ahead and spoil yourself and your loved ones this holiday season. We all deserve a little happiness now more than ever.

Travel-Friendly Beauty Buys

The holidays are just around the corner and for most of us that means lots of food, fun, and travel. Here are some portable products that will help you stick to your beauty routine when you're far away from home.

Post-Gym Beauty

I try my best to hit the gym after work every day and when I finally come home after being on my feet for 13+ hours, I'm about ready to collapse. Most of the time I just don't have the energy to go through an extensive beauty regiment so I try to keep my personal care routine as simple as possible. Here's how:

Fall Makeup Favorites

With Fall just around the corner, it's time to change up the contents of your makeup bag. That means embracing darker pigments--think berries, burgundies and purples--and stashing away your pinks and peaches. Here are some of my favorite picks of the season.

Ever notice how a good hair day can do wonders for your self-esteem? Every time I get my hair done at the salon, I leave feeling more confident than I did when I first arrived.

Unfortunately, most of us can't afford to get our hair done every day, but here are some of my favorite products for getting salon-styled hair at home.

Create a Spa at Home

Tough economic times mean a lot of us are more stressed out than ever. Decompressing at the spa is an amazing way to relax and pamper yourself, but it can get so expensive. Thankfully, if you have access to a bath or shower, great products, and a creative spirit, you can easily transform your home into a makeshift spa. Here's how:

Part of living a healthy life means taking care of your largest organ--your skin. I've had problem skin since my early 20's so there's nothing I value more than a clear complexion, but it takes hard work and constant maintenance to get a good glow. I usually try to fend off blackheads and pimples by getting deep-cleaning facials every month, but these days, I find it more difficult to spend upwards of $150 (yikes!) for a 60-minute spa treatment.
