Post-Gym Beauty

I try my best to hit the gym after work every day and when I finally come home after being on my feet for 13+ hours, I'm about ready to collapse. Most of the time I just don't have the energy to go through an extensive beauty regiment so I try to keep my personal care routine as simple as possible. Here's how:

Easy Hair Care
Cardiovascular exercise = dirty hair. While I'm tempted to suds ups after each work out, I've been told time and time again that it's not good to wash your hair every day. Instead, I skip the shampoo and load up on conditioner. My two favorites are Redken All-Soft and Kerastase Masque Oleo-Relax Slim. These two products add ridiculous amounts of amazing moisture to my dry and over-processed hair and don't strip it of its essential oils.

How to Tip: Massage your scalp with a dollop of conditioner to promote circulation and add extra product to your ends. Don't rinse out until you're done washing your face and body.

Beat the Heat
Daily shampooing is bad for your hair but heat damage from blow dryers, flat irons and curling devices is even worse. On my no-wash days, I embrace my curls. Most gels and wave sprays produce crunchy curls, but Blow Wave Maker creates perfectly soft ringlets. WAVE MAKER.jpg

How to Tip: Towel dry you hair, add a squeeze of Blow Wave Maker and divide your hair into small sections. Gently twist your tresses into medium-sized ringlets, adding more serum if necessary. Let your hair air dry and in about 20 minutes you'll be left with soft, adorably bouncy curls.

Hold it Right There
To keep your curls from coming undone, reach for some hair spray. Spritz on some Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity hair spray to keep your locks from falling victim to major frizz.

Body Talk

The right body wash can help uplift your mood and re-energize your spirit after a long day. My two favorites? Fresh Sugar Lemon and Jo Malone's Amber and Lavender body gels. Both of these light shower gels go on smooth, leave no soapy residue and help your skin smell so fresh and so clean.

Stay Soft
When you're feeling tired or lazy, it's so easy to skip out on moisturizer. My solution? Find a product that excites you no matter how often you use it. I love Kiehl's Crème de Corps body cream and Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper body butter . Both moisturizers are super indulgent, go on easy and penetrate the skin for hours.
