If you want to take advantage of health clubs, get a free pass. Many clubs offer free one-week sample passes for prospective members. Try before you buy to see if you'd be a regular to get your money's worth. Some gyms, like Bally's Total Fitness, offer the day before and after Thanksgiving as a free workout day to the public; the freebie day after is dubbed "Feeling fat Friday!" Midtown Athletic Clubs offer members free

personal training after joining to make sure you know what your body needs and that you are getting expert opinion too.

Buddy up. Split the cost of a personal trainer with a pal. Find a trainer near you at Ideafit.org

Sample some free yoga. Visit your local Lululemon store for a schedule of free weekly workouts, typically on Sundays. The stores open up floor space for yoga sessions (including Mommy and Me classes) and even Spinning classes or have guest trainers lead group runs. Also check out Dick Ponds in Elmhurst-- they host weekly runs and specialty nights like the upcoming Dec.16th 7pm Men's night featuring free burgers and 10% Garmin and Polar Watch demonstrations too.
