Yes, kiddos -- apparently wearing a towel is as difficult as wearing a blanket. Not that hard, right? Enter the spawn of Snuggie, the Wearable Towel. Talk amongst yourselves...

It seems like everyone's getting swept up in Obamamania these days -- even those with poor motor skills. The name says it all: BadPaintingsOfBarackObama.com.
This super easy one-click time killer is packed with some of the worst, and the funniest, paintings of our 44th president.

Original caption: Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich pose for a publicity picture for the new season of the NBC reality show "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here". Montag and Pratt will be part of the series; Blagojevich won't.
But we're thinking you can do better.

No, that's not a pair of big foot in the picture. Even better, it's outdoor adventurer Bear Grylls and sasquatch look alike Will Ferrell.
The two shared a snow shelter, sipped on their own urine, rappelled down frozen waterfalls, and noshed on reindeer eyeballs while filming an episode of Bear's show Man vs. Wild in the Swedish Wilderness.
You can watch the odd couple's camping trip June 2nd when the episode airs on the Discovery Chanel.

This is why the internet is bad. We ALL have them, those embarrassing photos tucked away in the attic of our parents' houses.
But what if our "friends" got a hold of them? And what if they put them up on the internet for the world to see? Well now you have to chance to peek inside all those buried photo albums thanks to everyone at AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com.
Go ahead, take a look, have a giggle, we did, but don't judge too harshly, because the next silly photo you laugh at could be your own.

Ever wanted to eat your business card? Us neither, but someone apparently did! Soon you can have anyone chow down on your name and contact info. Yum...
Meat cards might sound dirty, but they're actually business cards made out of beef jerky that you can dole out for a lasting (and filling!) first impression.
Now -- you can't send off to the butcher to get your name put on your meat. Meat Cards aren't fit for human consumption just yet, but they will be soon! Watch the company's progress at meatcards.com.

This weekend is the official start to our favorite season: Festival Season! Usually when you think of summer fun, scenes of The Taste and sounds of Lollapalooza come to mind, but it all starts with Mayfest.
The 14th annual gala rolls into Lakeview Friday and runs through Sunday. Five dollars will get you past the gate, where you can enjoy beer, food, live music -- and be sure not to miss the pet parade (believe it!) on Sunday.

Now -- all of us at Metromix aren't exaclty what you'd call "athletic" or "early birds", but we've found something worth waking up for.
Rise and shine on the Great Lawn in Millennium Park starting the first Saturday in June for free (and fun!) workouts like tai chi, yoga, pilates, aerobic dance & martial arts. Millennium Park will jump start your mornings with these forty-five minute classes every now through mid-September.
Yet another hysterical "music video" from the beloved Speidi. The duo are the ultimate train wreck -- that you can't stop watching!!! Is it just me, or does it seem like Heidi doesn't know the words to her own song?
More spandex ridiculousness after the jump...
EXCLUSIVE: Marcus Leshock has moved on & we are more verklempt than Linda Richmond. Here is a video of him saying goodbye to the people he has come to love and most of all respect. Goodbye old friend, never forget us. Good luck @ WGN!
Truth be told, I'm an avid Target shopper... and was super excited to get a sneak peak at the first-ever pop-up store in Chicago -- the Bullseye Bazaar. Doors opened this morning to the three-day fashion extravaganza (right on Michigan Avenue!)... and it's kind of impressive to see how they tranformed the first floor of the Trib Tower into a bonafied boutique. Red-and-white everywhere! Drop by now through Saturday to get your hands on on the latest styles before everyone else.
Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick and Jessica Schorz, and Kate Walsh of Private Practice also stopped by to show their bullseye pride. Check out red carpet pics after the jump...
The Blackhawks Beard-A-Thon continues as the team skates toward a Stanley Cup. And as exciting as a playoff game may be -- you should watch facial hair grow! Okay, maybe not the same... but it is for a good cause. Rate-a-beard, grow your own, or build one online if you're follicly challenged. As an added bonus,
With all the swine flu sneers aimed at "the other white meat," I thought -- what better time to rehash a story on my favorite pig product? Don't be hatin' on the bacon! From breakfast to dinner and dessert, it seems Chicago restaurants can't get enough of the sizzlin' stuff...
Comic book fans had a lot to look forward to this weekend. With the highly anticipated premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Friday and Free Comic Book Day Saturday afternoon, it was a busy weekend to be a super hero.
Friday night was quite the sight at the Orland Park Marcus Theater. (See the gallery here.) The X-Men cosplayers* were at the entrance ready to greet movie goers. Kids were jumping with excitement to see their favorite mutant heroes live in person. Even Spider-man came out to support his comrades. Parents and fans eagerly whipped out their camera phones, or jumped in to be in a photo themselves. It just goes to show, you’re never too old to love the super heroes.
Saturday afternoon was even more impressive. Supergirl, X-Men, G.I. Joe, Spider-man, He-man, and FREE COMICS!?! Oh my! Only on Free Comic Book Day can you get such a treat.(See the gallery here).
Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May, and comic book stores around the world participate. Each customer is allowed to take 3 free comics, take pictures with their favorite super hero, and they can get a sketch done by a real comic artist. We stopped by Graham Crackers Comics in the Loop and in Wheaton.
*cosplay - short for “costume roleplay”, is an art form that involves dressing up in costume and pretending to be a fictional character (usually from anime, comics, science fiction, or video games)
