Bea Arthur, star of the hit TV series "The Golden Girls," died today after a battle with cancer. Bea was always my favorite Golden Girl, probably the easiest character for a man to relate to. She had this quick wit and deep voice, always calling out the other characters' shenanigans. The AP has a career encompassing obit here. Bea was 86 years old.

I just felt true sadness upon hearing this news. Golden Girls is my favorite show ever and is one of the few things I watch almost every day. She was the best character
