You got it dude! Or cut....it....out! However you feel about the TGIF 90's sitcom "Full House," it has certainly sealed its fate as a 90's pop culture icon. Rumors are flying all over the web about a possible "remake" of the show that would involve much of the original cast! Keep reading for more info...
Blogs all over the net are referencing a quote that Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner) gave to OK! Magazine:
"John [Stamos] has been working on a semi-remake of 'Full House.' I know it would involve me and Jodie Sweetin. We would revive out characters, but today as young women."
I can't find the actual source article anywhere, so it could all be bogus. Plus, why in the world would Stamos want anything to do with this? Sure, he never speaks ill of "Full House," but it certainly got pretty lame (as if that already wasn't a problem) towards its conclusion. The guy has to have enough money, and he's only growing more attractive with age, so what's the deal?
Shows that retool and revamp as "older" version always stink. The first that pops into mind is "Saved by the Bell: The College Years." A new show would rely on those "Full House" fans that are all grown up, ready to rekindle the canned laughter and innocence from their childhood Friday nights. I think I just threw up a little.
More breaking news on this crisis as it comes in....
