As the Cubbies make their push for the playoffs, it's a good time to revisit this tribute song that Eddie Vedder debuted last month at the Auditorium Theatre. Vedder, Pearl Jam's uber angsty frontman and lifelong Cubs fan (they really go hand in hand, don't they?) is an Evanston native and for once, a song of his isn't full of rage and destruction. Which, considering the topic, he'd totally be in his rights if it were. No, 'We'll Go All The Way,' is spirited and folky with an Irish drinking song vibe. He certainly knows his audience.
