On tonight’s Neighborhood Tour, we paid tribute to two Polish spots and one local institution in Jefferson Park. Read the details below:
1. Dinner at Smak-Tak!
It’s unlikely that you’ll be talking smack about the food at this place because everything on the menu’s homemade and delicious. They serve pierogies, potato pancakes and soft blintzes stuffed with sweet cheese. Yum!

2. Bowling at Habetler Bowl
Locals have been hitting the lanes at this family-owned spot for more than fifty years. You can play a game for around 4 to 5 bucks, but if you’re bowling on a budget, stop in on Tuesday nights when it’s a dollar a game. Score!

3. Drinks at Martini Club
There’s no real dance floor here, but that doesn’t stop patrons from flaunting their best moves every weekend. Stop in for a martini (they’ve got more than 30 types) or just mingle with the half-euro, half-American crowd.

I've been throwing strikes at Habetler since I was a wee young lad. I may have even been conceived there ... Great story! Just wish I could have been there to help you with your form.
Pin-cerely,
Ted
