
We're not sure what it is about billboards lately, but another caught our eye this week. The above picture is not it. The picture will make more sense in a bit....
The sign that caught our eye is all in black, with a lot of wording. You can't really read the message because it's in dark gray, and intentionally cryptic. Of COURSE this makes us stare harder.
We've been driving by it all week, and today we were able to make out the phrase "Earth Hour".

Earth Hour is March 29, 2008. Apparently the WWF is asking citizens around the globe to turn off their lights for one full hour two weeks from Saturday.
The organization did this last year in Sydney and the results were amazing! More than 2.2 million people complied, reducing energy consumption by more than 10%. According to the website, that's equivalent to taking 48,000 cars off the road for one year.
