In tonight’s Neighborhood Tour, we traveled to my hometown, Glenview! If you didn’t catch the segment on TV (shame, shame!), it will replay at 8, 9 and midnight tonight… And if you don’t have cable, just click on the video player at the right of the blog.
Now, we stopped by lots of places, so here’s a quick recap after the jump....
The Glen Town Center
Glenview residents come here to drink, dine and shop.

Vibrato
We didn’t have enough time to visit all of the stores, but we checked out some trendy clothes and accessories at Vibrato.

Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar
This place has an aeronautical theme and is well known for pairing flights of wine with food. If you’re going to indulge and eat dessert, I recommend the chocolate lava cake.
Wagner Farm
During my visit to the farm, I couldn’t help myself from falling in love with Rita and her new baby, Luna. Visit horses, cows and chickens, or stop by for a free milking demonstration.
The Grove
This is the perfect place for animal and nature lovers. Walk inside a replica of Glenview’s first schoolhouse, see live animals in the Interpretive Center, or learn more about Native Americans while taking a free tour of the grounds.

Grandpa’s
Located right by the Metra train stop, this is a great place to grab a beer or burger on your way home from work. And, instead of handing out bread and butter baskets, the folks at Grandpa’s serve yummy breadsticks and cheese while you wait for your meal. Mmmm.

Glenview House
If you’re looking to drink with the locals, head on over to the Glenview House. The young and old mingle over a variety of brews, and the front patio is always packed when it’s warm out.
