My favorite which some may overlook is Wildfire restaurant. The woodfire flame gives such a great flavor to the premium aged steaks. The crab cakes and wild rice are also excellent. My favorite cuts there are the NY Strip with peppercorn crust or the woppin Porterhouse steak which will not disappoint. Excellent unique flavor which I have not had anywhere else.

Absolutely, positively the Chop House has the best steak. Tender, delicious, so flavorful but without adding too much. Easily the best in the city.

Shulas Steak House is the best. Their steaks are so juicy and always cooked just right. I also love their lobster mashed potatoes and mac and cheese!

There are many great choices for steak in Chicago. The one place I keep going back to is The Chicago Chop House. Where else can you get a great "meal"(salad and potato are included). The wine list is the best in the city and the service is great!

Everyone who posted before me is crazy. Morton's sucks, Bob Chinns is alright, Pete Millers can jump off a bridge. Go get the Porcinni Del Monico @ Capital Grille and you won't ever go to those dumps ever again.

Morton's on Michigan and Wacker. Not only are the steaks super juicy, but their new bar area is amazing. Cajun rib eye is the best.

Three people from our office responded:
Bob Chinn's - Wheeling
Pete Millers - Wheeling & Evanston
Wildfire - Lincolnshire

Joe's Steak and Seafood on Grand is my personal favorite. The steaks are flavorful, juicy and fantastic. You can never go wrong at Joe's!

Hard to pick just one... we're big fans of Gibson's, The Palm and of course, Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Crab, Chicago.

This is a difficult one, as our city has it's share of great steakhouses.
I would rate as my top pick the original Morton's on State Street in Newbury Plaza. It's a real power-dinner trip. Never had anything except the greatest steak experiences there.
Pricey, but worth every cent. Superb personal service.
