In fairness, this morning I ran across this new ad on YouTube using many of Jack Nicholson's famous characters to make the pitch for Hillary. As you may know, he is one of her supporters. Yep, Idol really gives back today! I read about this story on VoteForTheWorst the other day, but apparently the AP has now picked it up and is running with it. Contestant David Hernandez once worked as a male stripper at a club in Phoenix. The article is here, it goes on to note that a few years ago Frenchie Davis was kicked off for taking elicit photos. Not sure if David will suffer the same fate, we'll have to see. But it could make his performance a little bit more interesting/disturbing, depending on how you look at it.
Yep, the Weinstein Company sent out a press release today announcing their latest venture, a movie about the life of Bob Marley. It will be called "No Woman, No Cry," based on the book by Rita Marley, his widow. Rudy Langlais (“The Hurricane”) is set to produce the film from a script written by Lizzie Borden (“Working Girls”). More details will be announced soon...maybe who will play him? You see my pick above - Mos Def. He's got the look, the skill, and the musical talent. We'll wait and see who the Weinstein's go with...but if I hear Will Smith....I'm officially sitting this one out. You can read the full press release after the jump....

Why do some celeb couples start dressing alike the minute they start dating? I’ve especially noticed this with starlets who date rockers. Case in point: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer (back when they were still a couple), and the latest rocker-wannabe, Paris Hilton, who appears to be channeling new boy toy, Benji Madden.

Recognize the bombshell behind Hillary Clinton? It’s Texas resident and “Desperate Housewives” star, Eva Longoria Parker. The actress made an appearance at Hillary Clinton’s town hall meeting in Austin the day before the Texas primary.
Actors Ted Danson and Melanie Griffith also helped rally support for Clinton.
MLB spring training is officially here. While I was listening to my Chicago Cubs battle the San Francisco Giants over the weekend, I realized how much I really missed baseball. Now besides 100 tough years for Cubs fans....baseball has also given us some of the best films ever made. Chicago native Pat Sajak (he grew up near 31st and Kedzie) is in town this week with Vanna & Co. to begin a three-day taping of “Wheel of Fortune” at Navy Pier. I’m not sure if tickets are still available, but the “Wheel” crew is in town March 7 to March 9-- partly to celebrate the show’s 25th season. Three weeks worth of Chicago-based shows will start airing on April 28th.
We knew they'd make a movie about her life, but it looks like the Anna Nicole bio-pic is almost done. Complete with a possible ressurection of Willa Ford's career.

So, tickets to the Navy Pier tapings are no longer available, BUT if you want to see Pat and Vanna up close, you're going to have to (ahem) mysteriously end up in the W Hotel's lobby because that's where they're staying... Happy stalking!!!
A biopic on the Notorious B.I.G is scheduled to be released some time in 2009, and rapper Jamal “Gravy” Woolard has been picked to play the slain hip hop artist.
“Notorious,” will also feature cameos from Angela Bassett (cast as Biggie’s mom), Anthony Mackie (Tupac Shakur), and Derek Luke (Sean “Diddy” Combs).
According to sources, more than 100 rappers were vying for the role (Sean Kingston, Guerilla Black), but the part eventually went to Woolard, who will be making his Hollywood debut.
Two new Speed Racer trailers are out this week. All we gather from them is Speed is angry, wants revenge and will race his green screen heart out until he's satisfied.

I got the privilege of meeting the great Bret Michaels, the 'Rock of Love' God performed a SOLD OUT show with his solo band at Joe's Bar & Grill. Now I know you're probably about to wet your pants, no need to freak out I'll give you the inside scoop...
After making hits for more than two decades, Madonna’s finally a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
The pop diva, who was inducted by Justin Timberlake in New York City last night, apparently gave one of the longest Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acceptance speeches ever, clocking in at 16 minutes.
Madonna and Timberlake have gotten close in recent months and even worked together on her upcoming album, “Hard Candy,” which is set for an April 29 release.

A few weeks ago, I had the misfortune of falling victim to a MASSIVE pothole hidden deep in the butchered streets of the I-88 highway.

Britney dropped her new video for the single "Break the Ice" this week.
And instead of full blown dance numbers we see a mash-up of anime and The Matrix.

If you've been following national news at all, you know that New York's high-profile, now-ex governor, Eliot Spitzer, is coming under fire for seeking the services of a pricey prostitute.
The New York Times is reporting that the call girl in question, "Kristen", is an aspiring songbird who goes by the stage name Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Turns out Dupre's got a Myspace page that reveals her personal pictures and singing abilities. Not surprisingly, her Myspace URL, http://www.myspace.com/ninavenetta, has been blowing up with page views ever since Spitzer's sex scandal surfaced, and her song "What We Want" has gotten more than 2 million plays so far. Could all of this media attention make Miss Dupre a new pop sensation?
**Update: Dupre's Myspace page was JUST deleted, minutes after I posted. I wonder who's behind that move...
The much hyped Incredible Hulk trailer debuted yesterday on MTV. Of the forthcoming super-hero movies this trailer is by far the worst behind The Dark Knight & Iron Man. Don't know if that means much.

We're not sure what it is about billboards lately, but another caught our eye this week. The above picture is not it. The picture will make more sense in a bit....
The sign that caught our eye is all in black, with a lot of wording. You can't really read the message because it's in dark gray, and intentionally cryptic. Of COURSE this makes us stare harder.
We've been driving by it all week, and today we were able to make out the phrase "Earth Hour".

Supporters for Gotham's famed District Attorney candidate Harvey Dent (a.k.a. 2 Face) hit Chicago to try and win over some of the city's finest. Some people showed up with signage they printed from home and others just stopped by to see why Cee-Lo from Gnarles Barkley was yelling into a megaphone.

Snoop fans, set your TiVo's! The rapper's scheduled to appear in two episodes of ABC's "One Life to Live" in May. Apparently, Snoop's been a fan of the soap ever since he was a tyke. Surprising, no? Anyhow, not only will the 36-year-old show off his acting chops, but he'll also perform two hits from his latest album, "Ego Trippin'."
Metromix recently caught wind of a Rolling Rock beer advertisement with this message:
"Moonvertising. Look for during the next full moon."
We checked it out, and sure enough, the beer company is planning to aim a laser at the moon with a promotional message on March 21st. We can't confirm if this will actually take place or if it's the company's clever way to hype a product. Either way, we ask: IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE?
