On tonight's Green Piece segment, I featured The Handlebar in Wicker Park. Besides supporting pro-bicycling causes from all over Chicagoland, they also offer a wide-range of vegan cuisine. Read more and get contact info after the jump.....
The Handlebar is located at:
2311 W. North Ave.
Chicago, IL

The Handlebar will be celebrating its 5 year anniversary on February 16th. They're having a party where they'll bring back some of their most popular items that were moved off the menu some time ago. They include Wasabi-baked Tofu, Blackened Tofu Fajitas, and who can live without $1 Schlitz cans! Lordy!
The party's on the 16th at 10pm. Guests DJ's will spin some records, and they're giving away a few free drafts. So go on in and check it out!
Also, I really have to recommend the Left Hand Brewery Milkstout, assuming they still have it on tap when you head in. They rotate beers a lot and feature brews from local companies.
The Handlebar is a pretty neat place with a lot of regulars. You'll find local band posters and other activist propaganda all over the walls. I even ran into an old friend from college while we were filming there, so you never know what might happen. If you've ever been or you have any other suggestions on places we should feature on the show, be sure to leave your comments below. Peace out!
