Hey all, Marcus Leshock here. Have to thank all of the viewers who came out to English last night for our 1st Annual Metromix Mistletoe Party! I didn't see too many people getting lucky under the mistletoe, but the place was packed right at 6 and rocked throughout the night. Yep, those Moet cocktails were mighty tasty! If you missed the party, you certainly missed out. But the Moet folks were kind enough to share the recipes with the world in written form, so here are the perfect drinks to impress your friends at your next holiday party:
Moet Pomegranate Drop
LIQUOR: Moet and Chandon Nectar Imperial Champagne
INGREDIENTS: 5 ounces Moet Nectar - 1 Small Sugar Cube - Pomegranate Juice - 1 Orange Twist
RECIPE: Soak the sugar cubes in Pomegranate Juice and then drop one into a chilled Champagne flute. Add the Moet Champagne.
10 Cane Cranberry Mint Rickey
LIQUOR: 10 Cane Rum
INGREDIENTS: 2 1/2 ounce 10 Cane Rum - 2 Tablespoons Cranberries (Fresh or Frozen) - 2 Tablespoons Simple Syrup - 1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice Splash of Club Soda - 3 Mint Leaves Garnish: Cranberries and Mint Sprig
RECIPE: In a mixing glass, muddle cranberries and macerate with simple syrup and 10 Cane for 10 minutes. Add 3 mint leaves and muddle gently. Add lime juice, ice and stir. Strain into rocks glass with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with cranberries and mint sprig.
The Hennessy Alexander
LIQUOR: Hennessy Cognac
INGREDIENTS: 1 1/4 ounce Hennessy VS - 1/2 ounce dark crème de cacao - 3/4 ounce cream or half and half - Dash of grated nutmeg
RECIPE: Combine three ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Grate some nutmeg on top.
Belvedere Cinnamon Fig Martini
LIQUOR: Belvedere Pure Vodka
INGREDIENTS: 1.5 ounces Belvedere Vodka - 1/4 ounce Grand Marnier - 1.5 Ounces Fresh Lime Juice - 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon Water (Boil Water, Cinnamon and Sugar in advance to create a syrup) - 1 ounce Orange Juice - Fig Slices
RECIPE: Make the Cinnamon Syrup in advance. Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a Cinnamon-Rimmed Martini Glass. Garnish with a fig slice.
Grand Marnier 'Santa's Helper'
LIQUOR: Grand Marnier
INGREDIENTS: 2 parts Grand Marnier - 1 part Belvedere Vodka - 1 part Hershey's Chocolate Syrup - 1 Part Cream or Half and Half
RECIPE: Shake all ingredients - Strain into a Rocks glass - Garnish with a Chocolate Covered Orange Slice.
Navan 'Natural Vanilla' Egg Nog
LIQUOR: Navan
INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 Ounces Navan - 1 Grade A or AA egg - 1 1/2 ounces Whole Milk - 1 Teaspoon Superfine Sugar - Garnish with Ground Nutmeg
RECIPE: Separate the egg yolk and white into two bowls. Beat the white with 1/2 teaspoon sugar until peaks form. Beat the yolk with remaining 1/2 teaspoon sugar until stiff. Gently fold egg white until egg yolk. Add milk and mix gently. Pour mixture into ice -filled cocktail glass. Garnish with nutmeg or cinnamon. NOTE: Make large batch and serve from punch bowl.
