BISHOP'S FAMOUS CHILI
250 N. Cass
Westmont, IL
www.bishopschili.com
11am-9pm Monday through Saturday; 11am-5pm Sunday
Serving Chicagoland since 1925, the Bishop's recipe has spanned four generations. People from all over the country come here to try the chili. They were even featured on the Food Network. It's no "metromix on CLTV," but still a fine television network.
CHILI MAC'S FIVE WAY CHILI
3152 N. Broadway
Chicago, IL
773-404-2898
11am-10pm Sunday through Thursday; 11am-11pm Friday and Saturday
Love the Chili Mac. It's probably the spiciest chili out of the four finalists....but it's certainly not too hot. Get it five ways, which means chili, spaghetti, onions, cheese, and beans. Yowza.
Lindy's & Gerties
www.lindyschili.com for all locations
Hours vary
There are nine Lindy's locations around the city, all have great chili. We visited the Mt. Greenwood location on the show, but we receive MANY responses about the location in Bridgeview, so you might want to check that one out!
Ramova Grill
3510 S. Halsted St.
Chicago, IL
773-847-9058
5am-8pm, Seven days a week
Love the Ramova Grill. Lots of history here, they've been around for nearly 80 years! The chili is outstanding. $3 a bowl.

I was at the Ramova Grill the other day for the first time. I loved the chili so much that I tried to bribe the cook for the recipe, but he wouldn't budge. I have come everyday since for lunch, I am hooked like a trembling fish.

I agree with the Metromix host - Ramova's Chili is 'hands down' THE best bowl of Chili in Chicago! Their spices (and prices) are amazing, the atmosphere and history is great and you will be served by very friendly people! I have been going to Ramova all of my life. I hope they last another 80 years.

Bishop's Chili is the place to be!! My parents took me there as a child, and now I am taking my kids there. My boys have a chili eating contest every time we are there. We can't get enough of it. The atmosphere is great, service is friendly, and the food is even better.
