Bahar Takhtehchian is Metromix TV's newest Entertainment Guru!![]()
Before Metromix
Chicago native Bahar Takhtehchian returned to the Windy City after working in print media in New York City for the past two years.
Bahar developed her passion for broadcast journalism at the age of seven when she cast herself as the “evening anchor” of ABC Eyewitness News, performing pretend broadcasts live from her family’s living room. Skilled with the ability to interview make-believe guests and banter with herself for hours, the prodigy captivated millions of imaginary viewers.

Hello “metromix” viewers! Marcus Leshock here. By now you’ve heard all about the weep session on Ellen yesterday. A few of my thoughts after the jump…
Hey folks..it’s a light one this week…but stay tuned, as next week will be much more loaded, with music from the likes of Dave Gahan (frontman of Depeche Mode), Ween, and Coheed And Cambria. In the meantime, though, here’s the couple of notables for this week:
A breakdown after the jump...
Today Variety annouced they will be publishing their Top Movie Soundtracks of All Time in an upcoming issue. This prompted some thinking over here....what are the best movies when it comes to music? Be sure to post your comments after reading my list. It's after the jump:
Time to talk about this week's new music...and there's loads of good new stuff in the shops this week. Now...brace yourself, because Britney's new record arrives next week...I've already pre-ordered my copy.....a-hem.
More after the jump...
Greetings fellow "24" fans! Marcus Leshock here. Jack looks old. Tony is back. CTU is history. Did “24” officially jump the shark with the detonation of the nuclear bomb last season? Here’s the trailer for Season 7:
“Do whatever it takes. Torture him if you have to.” I see the writing from last season hasn’t changed. So what do you think? How bad/good does this look? Let’s hear your comments!
Hi all, it’s Jackie here. Welcome to this momentous occasion… as this is my very first blog. To be completely honest, I wasn’t exactly sure what a blog was until about a week ago, so bear with me.... my brother got all of the tech savvy genes.
I would like to dedicate my inaugural blog to my friend Graham who inspired this post. About a week ago we were at InnJoy for some late night grub, and I was whining about how I have nothing to say on this very blog. He’s all about the blogging and said it’s as easy as writing about what you see. As if by divine intervention, at that very moment a guy wearing a blue jean jacket with a Tweety Bird patch on the back grabbed the karaoke mic for his rendition of some awful 80s hit. Don’t even get me started on the jacket, let’s just focus on the beautiful music that was being made. I realized we haven’t done a karaoke story on this show since we featured the ever popular Carole’s Pub almost two years ago… and that’s too long to go without a little Debbie Gibson. So, tell me your favorite karaoke bars. Please. Or my next post might have to be about Road Runner iron-ons.
Where's the beef?
There are a ton of spots to grab a sandwich around town but who has the best.
We put the debate to an end.
If you have a sweet tooth this story is taylor made for you.
We put our fillings on the line, battled through the sugar high and found Chicago's most decadent desserts.
With Halloween a couple days away we were wondering what is the scariest movie ever?
Our picks after the jump...
Is Chiwetel Ejiofor the next Denzel Washington? If you've seen my DVD Pick of the Week, you will probably agree with this statement. Maybe you haven't seen "Talk to Me." Maybe you never heard of it. But let me tell you, it's one of the Best Movies of 2007, and you can see it for yourself on DVD today. More on the movie after the jump.

Hey Metromixers,
It’s a light week in new music…well, unless you count Britney & Backstreet Boys. And, while her new record will likely go down as a smash hit in the clubs, do we really need to study it any further? I don’t think so.

What's up Metromixers! Marcus Leshock here with a quick question for you! Beans...Cheese...Sour Cream...Onions....I'm looking for the Best Chili in Chicago, and I want to hear your picks. Go ahead and post a comment....let me know where you head when your craving a great cup of chili!
Next week on the show, I'll count down MY top 3 Chili spots...and 1 viewers choice. So go ahead and start posting already!!!!
Pogo came in cluckin' because he ate so many wings doing this story.
Your pick for best wings after the jump...
Hey Metromixers! It's Bahar here..
‘Tis the season of leggings (er, black Spandex under dresses and tunics), UGG boots (will they ever die?), skinny leg jeans, and bug-eyed sunglasses (thank you Ashley and Mary Kate!)... Oh, and it’s true-- arm-warmers from the 80s are back with a vengeance. Can you hand-le it?
We know you’re perceptive, opinionated and out and about on the Chicago scene, so tell us: what current fashion trend do you consider to be the worst trend out there for both guys and girls? Don’t be shy... it’s good to let all that pent up anger loose…
