A celebration of the season with a community meal from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Leslie Hall, 1111 N. Wells Street, Chicago, IL.
Organic School Project invites the Chicago community to attend the "Fall Harvest" event, a celebration of the season with a community meal. The Fall Harvest will feature dishes using seasonal ingredients created by chefs John Chiakulas of Foodlife, John Manion of Goose Island, Eric Young of Scoozi!, and James Gottwald and Amanda Downing of Rockit Bar & Grill, who will be donating their time and dishes to this fund-raising event.
Funds raised at the event will support OSP's "Grow Teach Feed" after school program, which reaches over 120 urban youth at three Chicago public schools in 1st through 8th grade by growing schoolyard gardens with them, educating them about nutrition and the environment, and feeding them wholesome foods as snacks and ingredients for cooking lessons.
To find out more or RSVP, please visit www.organicschoolproject.org. Tickets are $35 one week in advance, $40 six days in advance through the day-of the event. Parents of children in OSP programs may attend for $25 / $30. Children 12 and under may attend free of charge.
