The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), the world's only year-round presenter of American tap dance and contemporary percussive arts, kicks off its 20th Anniversary season with Global Rhythms, featuring the Chicago debut of Washington D.C.'s Step Afrika!
On opening night, CHRP hosts its annual JUBALEE gala benefit, including a buffet reception, followed by the Step Afrika! performance at the Harris Theater. The event also includes silent and live auctions, a raffle and a post-performance reception for sponsors and VIPs. Highlighting the evening is the presentation of the JUBA Award to JAM Theatricals Co-Founder and President Arny Granat and CHRP Founder and Director Lane Alexander.
Mayor and Mrs. Richard M. Daley are Honorary Co-Chairs; Donna LaPietra and Bill Kurtis, Marilyn and Duke Miglin, and Irene Michaels and Arny Granat serve as co-chairs.
