Emphasizing the value of musical performance and audience engagement, Carma Trio & Friends was co-programmed by Anaphora's founding Violinist and Clarinetist: Aurelien Pederzoli & Cory Tiffin. Tiffin and Pederzoli have been performing together since they met at DePaul University in 2004 and shortly thereafter toured with Pianist Matthew Ganong as the "Carma Trio."
The Trio will lead Anaphora's latest concert with works by Aram Khachaturian and Gian Carlo Menotti. The program also features Ernõ Dohnányi's Sextet. Please contact Lisa Dell at dell.lisa@gmail.com for further details about the performance and performers.
PROGRAM
Aram Khachaturian: Trio for Clarinet, Violin, Piano.
Gian Carlo Menotti: Trio for Clarinet, Violin, Piano.
Erno Dohnanyi: Sextet in C, op 37 for Violin, Viola, Cello, Clarinet, Horn and Piano.
The Carma Trio is the longest-standing subgroup within Anaphora. The Trio has performed extensively in the greater Chicagoland area, as well as throughout the United States and Europe for both private events and public concerts over the last 4 years. One might say the Trio laid the foundation for what would one day become Anaphora.
