The region's largest and most popular home restoration, preservation, and energy-efficient renovation exposition, the Historic Chicago Bungalow and Green Home Expo. At this singular event, typically attended by more than 8000 people, visitors will find:

Three design and preservation household names on hand to offer advice and tips on topics from preserving your historic home to fresh, eco-friendly, inexpensive design solutions: "The House Doctor" Bob Yapp, Kelly Edwards of HGTV's hit show "Design on a Dime" and Lou Manfredini of HouseSmarts TV and WGN Radio 720.

More than 100 exhibitors, offering everything from arts and crafts furniture and tiles to energy efficient appliances, from restoration services to great deals on financing renovations or fundamental repairs.

More than 20 workshops on diverse topics of restoration, retrofit and how to finance desired changes.

Individual sessions with professional architects and lenders - all free to attendees:

o "Ask an Architect" will provide homeowners with free professional consultation on how to achieve their restoration or remodeling goals; o "Mortgage Check-Ups" will provide homeowners with free advice on home financing; o Bob Yapp "The House Doctor," will be on hand to meet with attendees individually and answer questions about home rehabilitation and restoration.

Raffle prizes including an Energy Star washer and dryer and, for those who register early online, a free home energy audit.

The Expo draws more than 8,000 people every year. Admission is free, street and lot parking are available, and the Merchandise Mart can be easily reached by public transportation, with a Brown Line CTA stop immediately in front of the building.
