At The Center On Halsted located 3656 N. Halsted 7:30pm and on Thursday, JULY 2nd, 2009, 8:00 PM at The Harold Washington Cultural Center located 4701 S. King Drive. Anita Davis Dance Theatre will present a dance and singing extravaganza giving praises and tributes to Chaka Kahn, Gladys Knight, and the late Phyllis Hyman and many more. The Anita Davis Dancers, founded by LaNita Joseph, a former Joel Hall Dancer, is an elected group of dancers that incorporate urban jazz, hip hop and even contemporary ballet! The entire show is filled with exciting choreography that is fluid, provocative and relatable. The Diva Suites also includes Chicago based star Terisa Griffin who has produced and released two albums, "Song bird" and her latest "My naked Soul". Following the performances is a meet and greet with all the performers!
