Oppa! It's time again for the annual Taste of Greece Celebration, hosted by the Greektown SSA. 12:00pm to 11:00pm, the public is invited to celebrate all things Greek. Halsted street will be bursting with food, music and fun from Monroe to Van Buren.
Stroll Halsted Street in Greektown and sample the fine Greek delicacies that Chicagoans have grown to love. There will be many fun festivities including, 2 live music stages, featuring the music of acclaimed Greek Bands Linardakis and Hellas 2000. There will also be great Greek Dancing, featuring 3 Greek Dance troops, Greek Dancing lessons and even Belly Dancers.
Other Entertainment includes Greek Acrobats, The Jesse White Tumblers and plenty of Childrens games, face painting and prizes each afternoon.
Admission to Taste of Greece is Free of charge - but donations to the Hellenic Museum would be appreciated.
The City of Chicago Department of Special Events will close the streets for the Festival.
