Chicago's Most Expensive Home

The most expensive home we've ever toured on HomesPlus was listed at $18 million at the time (it has since been reduced to $15 million), and I can't think of a thing it was missing. There was far more space, detail and character in that home than most people have had the pleasure of seeing first hand. Yesterday, a home came on the market in Winnetka that beats that one by $10 million. It's called Le Grand Reve (because of course, estates of that stature require their own name) and it's listed at $28 million.

Le Grand Reve is a French Chateau style manor sitting on a little over two acres. It appears to be a one-of-a-kind, certainly in the mid-west. But at the very least, the price tag is making headlines.
