41st Annual Sheffield Garden Walk

IMG_0265.JPG

Some of Lincoln Parks finest outdoor spaces were showcased last weekend during the Sheffield Garden Walk. Since I find it difficult to keep my plants motivated to live more than a week or so, I was intrigued. And I was not disappointed.

Garden-lovers came out in droves to check out the event and some of the neighborhood kids even greeted them with lemonade stands. Plus, the plants weren't the only "green" thing about the walk - some homeowners incorporated recycled odds and ends into their gardens. The most unique example? One especially New Orleans-esque backyard garden used an old clarinet secured to the wall as a plant hanger.
