Staging story: before & after

If your home is on the market then you know what staging is. You also probably know that while it used to be something that only high-end homes and developers were worried about, now it's something that every seller needs to do just to keep up with the competition. This weekend, we're featuring an on-the-market home in Homewood in which staging made a huge difference.

It's a perfect example of how in just a few days, with a few coats of paint and the right furniture and accessories a home can be trasnformed from practically unsellable (I know, it sounds harsh, but the color choices would have made it very difficult for buyers to see the potential in the home) to a cozy, move-in ready cottage. I'll update after this weekend's open house, but the realtor has every reason to believe that the home will sell very soon. Mainly because the last home that she staged with this designer sold within one week of the staging earlier in the year.

So, if you're in the market for a cute little 2 bed/1 bath in Homewood, head to one of the open houses this weekend! Click here for more details.
