Step away from Facebook - there's another way to Indulge your voyeuristic side this spring! Take a peek inside other people's homes by tagging along on one of the many house walks taking place over the next couple of months. From Madison, WI to Evanston to southwestern Michigan, you can get a ticket for a few bucks (which goes to a good cause - each walk has a different one) and walk through the homes of complete strangers.
Each walk is different. For example, on Wilmette's Spring House Walk you'll walk through four homes that have historical significance and represent different architectural styles popular during the first 50 years after Wilmette became a village. Or, if you fancy yourself a bit more modern, you might want to check out Chicago's "City Style" house tour where you'll begin with drinks and apps in one Lincoln Park home and continue the tastings through six more homes along the tour.
The homes are yours for the peeking! And there are more than a dozen of them happening through the spring, starting this weekend! For a comprehensive list of these home tours, click here.
