Tax appeals deadline approaching

If you feel your tax assessment is too high, you may not be totally stuck. Homeowners have until March 16 to appeal their tax assessments in Cook County. Here are some tips on what you need to do...

1 - Get a complaint form by contacting the Cook County Board of Review (312-603-5542) or visiting a satellite office.
2 - Include evidence that your appeal has merit. Photos of the property, a recent appraisal or recent sales of comparable properties might do the trick.
3 - Make sure to meet the deadline!

Good luck!
