Dressed to sell

Just like date night, open houses and showings call for putting your best face forward. But instead of the little black dress or that killer suit, we're talking cleaned out closets and spiffed up kitchens. If you want your potential buyer to ask for a second date...ahem...showing, then you'll want to take a look at these top ten tips for getting your home ready for the big date!

10 - Organize those closets! You're selling space, so the more organized your closet is, the more spacious it will appear!
9 - Replace old or dirty carpet. A good cleaning is the first step, but if your carpet is still not dazzling you, then it might be worth the time and money to replace it altogether.
8 - Dress your windows...use a combination of hard and soft window treatments. If you already have shutters of blinds, add a decorative touch with some drapes.
7 - Create a spa-like master bath. Appeal to buyers' sense of luxury by adding spa-like touches to your master bathroom. Upgraded fixtures if you want to spend the money, candles, cushy towels and decorative touches if you just want to add a little something to what you've already got!
