Pending home sales up

According to the National Association of Realtors, The Pending Home Sales Index, a forward-looking indicator based on contracts signed in August, jumped 8.8% from about a year ago. The index is actually at its highest level since June of 2007.

Looks like some buyers were able to take advantage of the lower prices and higher inventory on the market right now.
